2005-01-02 - 7:56 p.m. happy new year. achoo!The silly cold I had last week lingered with me all weekend. I probably over exerted myself a bit, but was motivated to go out in the horrible weather to go play with a new friend, and I spent New Year's day in the kitchen, baking double chocolate pistachio biscotti, making homemade fig jam + blue cheese + prosciutto pizza, and simmering a pasta sauce on the stove all day. The pizza (sans prosciutto) and biscotti were destined for a new friend's father's wake. An unusual way to spend a new year's day. Back to work tomorrow with many a long day expected. Also have a few writing assignments lined up, so there won;t be a surplus of free time for a while...
